FAQ FOR TRAVELLERS ( BOOKING PROPERTIES)

My Profile

To sign up, click “Sign Up” on the homepage and select the option “I only want to book”. Enter your email address and create a password. Your username and password will be emailed to you for easy access.

Yes, to become a property owner, you need to create a new account and select “I want to rent my property” during sign-up. This will give you access to property listing and management features

Go to “My Profile” and click “Edit” to update your details. Be sure to save any changes before exiting.

To change your password, go to “My Profile” and click “Update Password.” Once you update it, you will be required to log out and log back in using your new password.

Favorites

Simply click the heart icon on the property listing, and it will be saved to your “Favourites” section for easy access later.

Yes, to remove a property, click the heart icon again to un-favorite it.

Yes, you can share your favourites by copying the link or using the social media sharing options provided on the site.

Reservations

Select your desired property, choose your check-in and check-out dates using the availability calendar, then click “Book Now” and complete the payment process.

After booking, you’ll receive a confirmation email, and your reservation will appear in the “Reservations” section of your profile.

Cancellations and modifications depend on the host’s policy, which can be found on the property listing. You can manage your bookings under “Reservations.”

If your booking is not confirmed, please contact the property owner via the “Inbox” or reach out to ZimQuest support for assistance.

Pricing and Additional Costs

The total cost will be calculated and displayed before you click the “Book Now” button. This includes the base price, any additional fees (such as cleaning or service fees), and taxes.

Some properties may have additional charges that are not included in the initial price, such as cleaning fees, security deposits, or extra guest fees. These will be displayed on the property listing page.

A detailed breakdown of all costs, including any extra charges, will be shown on the booking page before you confirm your reservation.

The price is fixed once your reservation is confirmed. However, additional fees, like those for extra guests or services, may apply if requested after the booking.

If you modify your booking, such as adjusting your dates or the number of guests, the new price will be calculated before you confirm the changes.

Invoices

Your invoices can be found in the “Invoices” section of your profile. You can view and download them anytime.

Click on the invoice you wish to download, then select the “Download PDF” option to save it to your device.

If you notice any discrepancies, please contact the property owner directly through the “Inbox” or reach out to ZimQuest support for assistance.

Inbox

You can contact the property owner by clicking the “Contact Owner” button on the property page or your reservation details. This will open the messaging system where you can send a message directly to the owner.

Yes, you can send a message to the owner before making a booking by using the “Inbox” feature on the property page.

You will receive a notification on your dashboard and via email whenever you have a new message in your “Inbox.”

Property Listings

Each property has an availability calendar showing the dates when it is available for booking. You can check the calendar before making a reservation.

Property details include a description, price, amenities, availability calendar, guest reviews, and information about the property owner.

Yes, each property listing has a “Reviews” section where past guests can leave feedback about their stay.

Read the property description carefully, and refer to the guest reviews for more insights. If you have questions, you can always contact the owner via the “Inbox.”

Payments

Zimquest accepts credit cards (Visa, MasterCard), mobile payments (EcoCash), and bank transfers.

Yes, we use encrypted payment gateways to ensure your personal and payment information is protected.

Yes, the full payment is typically required at the time of booking. Some properties may offer different payment policies, which will be clearly stated on the listing.

Refunds depend on the host’s cancellation policy. Be sure to check the policy before booking, and if applicable, contact the property owner for refund details.

If your payment fails, double-check your card information, ensure you have sufficient funds, and try again. If the issue persists, contact your bank or try using a different payment method.

My Profile

Yes, you can upload images of your property. Multiple images can be added to showcase your property, giving potential guests a better idea of what to expect.

iCalendar feeds allow you to sync your availability calendar with other platforms or personal calendar apps. By providing a feed link, you can integrate ZimQuest’s calendar with other platforms you use, making it easier to manage bookings and

Pricing Plans and Additional Features

∙ Gold (Yearly): USD 1000, unlimited listings, 0 featured.

∙ Silver (Monthly): USD 40, 3 listings, 0 featured.

∙ Silver (Yearly): USD 400, 3 listings, 0 featured.

∙ Bronze (Monthly): USD 20, 1 listing, 0 featured.

∙ Bronze (Yearly): USD 200, 1 listing, 0 featured.

Featured listings are intended to give your property more visibility. However, none of the current pricing plans include featured listings. You can inquire with ZimQuest support for details about this option.

Policies

Each property owner can set their cancellation policies. These policies will be visible on your listing and can include flexible, moderate, or strict rules. It is important to specify these policies when creating or updating your listing.

You can set or modify your cancellation policy in the “Add New Listing” section when creating or editing a listing. Simply select the appropriate policy that best suits your preferences.

You can include any house rules you may have in the Listing Description section. These can include rules about smoking, pets, noise levels, etc. Make sure to be clear to avoid misunderstandings with guests.

Reservations vs Bookings

∙ Reservations: This section shows pending and confirmed booking requests. You can review booking details, such as requested dates and guest information, and accept or decline requests.

∙ Bookings: This section displays confirmed bookings, where the reservation has been finalized by the traveller and payment has been completed. You can view the confirmed dates, and guest details, and manage upcoming stays.

In the Reservations section, you can see all your pending requests. You can either confirm or decline these requests based on your availability.

Yes, if the booking request is still pending, you can decline or cancel the request through the Reservations section. Once the booking is confirmed, cancellation is subject to your cancellation policy.

Bookings

All confirmed bookings will appear in the Bookings section. You can check the booking details, including the guest’s name, contact information, and the dates of their stay.

Modifications or cancellations of confirmed bookings depend on your policy, which can be viewed in the Bookings section.

Invoices

Your invoices can be found under the Invoices section in your profile. You can view, download, and manage them directly from there.

To download an invoice, click on the invoice you wish to access and select the “Download PDF” option to save it to your device.

If there’s an issue with your invoice, contact ZimQuest support or the traveller directly via the “Inbox” to resolve the issue.

Inbox(Messaging System)

You can send a message to the traveller via the Inbox by clicking on “Message” next to their booking details.

Yes, you can use the Inbox feature to message a traveller before they confirm their booking, whether it’s for questions about the property or their intended stay.

You will receive a notification in your dashboard and by email whenever you have a new message in your Inbox.
